What is Physiotherapy

Animals hide their pain well - its my job to find it

Instinctively, animals will often suffer in silence. They try to conceal their discomfort by using other muscles and joints to compensate for their injury. From muscle spasms through to torn muscles, ligaments and tendons, animal therapy not only heals these ailments but will also help prevent them.

Treatment can be by one or a number of methods, which include therapy machines such as phototherapy, pulsed electromagnetic therapy and long wave ultrasound. Most treatments include massage and stretches, where appropriate.

Physiotherapy stimulates the natural healing power of cells in the body. It is non-invasive and as with humans, externally applied energy will affect metabolic repair, circulation and pain response in animals.
